Neither the currently selected increment nor one of its
ancestors are marked with a message.

Please select any command in any command group you need
information about. Selecting e.g. the `Commands' command
itself provides you with additional information about it.
@
This environment offers you (limited) online help functions.
As a first introduction (beside the document "A Guided Tour ...")
you may select the commands "Keyboard" and "TextEditor" of
the current command group and read its message texts.

Furthermore, (almost) every command has an associated short
description. To display this description you have to select
the command "Commands" of this command group which awaits
a command you want to have information about as its argument:
please select the awaited command argument (you are allowed
to change command groups etc.) immediately after the selection
of the command "Commands" itself, e.g.: select command "Commands"
twice to display available information about the command itself.

NOTE: Within almost a n y state of the system the "Help" key may
be pressed to get more information about possible user interactions.
Normally, this key is bound to the command "Commands".
@
Up to now a small number of emacs-inspired synonyms for function keys
are available. They may be used for keybord based command selection if
function keys are reserved for the window manager.
For example, instead of pressing "Help" you can also type "CTRL-?".
The following synonyms for function keys etc. are valid:

CTRL-?, META-? (Help)| META-< (Home)| CTLX-CTRL-c (Stop)
CTRL-r (F1) | CTRL-p (Up) | CTLX-r, CTRL-. (Again)
META-r (F2) | CTRL-z, META-v (PgUp)| CTLX-u, CTRL-/ (Undo)
META-s (F3) | CTRL-b, META-b (Left)| META-w (Copy)
CTRL-s (F4) | CTLX-^ (# 5) | CTRL-SPACE (Open)
CTRL-% (F5) | CTRL-f, META-f (Rght)| CTRL-y (Paste)
META-%         (F6)  | META->         (End) | CTLX-CTRL-x    (Find)
CTLX-CTRL-i (F7) | CTRL-n (Down)| CTRL-w (Cut)
CTLX-CTRL-w (F8) | CTRL-v (PgDn)|

CTRL-h (DEL)
CTRL-d (SHIFT-DEL)

Note that bindings of these additional key sequences to commands is
completely determined by bindings of function keys specified in the
file $IPSENTABLES/cmd.tab with $IPSENTABLES normally set to directory
$HOME/(progres)data/tables.

Furthermore, you can use CTRL-g or (SHIFT-)ESC to abort a command,
and CTLX-< or CTLX-> to scroll left or right, respectively.
@
Your environment contains a built-in (micro-) emacs like text editor.
All of its commands are available via the following control keys:
     F1 F9
  +------+------+------+------+------+------+------+------+------+
  |sback |sprev |snext |sforw |srepl |qrepl | insf |savef | dell |
  +------+------+------+------+------+------+------+------+------+
  +------+------+
  | quit |repeat| <- Stop(L1), Again(L2)
  +------+------+ +------+------+------+
  |addmod| abort| | --- | bol | eol |
  +------+------+ +------+------+------+
  |delmod| copy |          Home(R7), ... -> | bof  |  /\  | pgup |
  +------+------+ +------+------+------+
  | mark | paste| | < |maxwin| > |
  +------+------+ +------+------+------+
  | swap | cut | | eof | \/ | pgdn |
  +------+------+ +------+------+------+
  | help | (SHIFT-DEL = forwdel)
  +-------------+ (SHIFT-TAB = realtab)

Use quit (Stop) = SHIFT-RET = TAB or CTLX-CTRL-c to terminate input
(in the normal case) and use abort (Undo) = SHIFT-ESC to abort (and
to discard any text modifications). Furthermore, the micro-emacs
editing modes "w(rap)" around, "e(xact)" search, "v(iew)" readonly,
and "o(ver)" write and the following key bindings are supported:

  CTRL-a (gotobol) META-l (lowerw) CTRL-e (gotoeol)
  CTRL-v (forwpage) META-u (upperw) CTRL-z (backpage)
  CTRL-n (forwline) CTRL-o (openline) CTRL-p (backline)
  CTRL-f (forwchar) META-g (gotoline) CTRL-b (backchar)
  CTRL-d (forwdel) CTRL-k (delline) CTRL-h (backdel)
  CTRL-s (searchforw) CTRL-% (sreplace) CTRL-r (searchback)
  CTRL-w (cut) META-w (copy) CTRL-y (paste)
  CTRL-SPACE (mark) META-z (quit) CTLX,CTRL-x (swap)
  META-< (gotobof)     CTLX,CTRL-w (savef)  META-> (gotoeof)
  META-f (forwword) CTLX,CTRL-i (insf) META-b (backword)
  META-d (fdelword) META-c (capword) META-h (bdelword)
  META-s (searchnext) META-% (qreplace) META-r (searchprev)
